Dental Services

What We Do

Liverpool Community Health's Dental service provides dental, clinical and public health services on a referral basis from a health professional, complementing and supplementing those of the General Dental Services.

We service the people of Liverpool, Sefton and Knowsley with a number of fixed dental clinics.

Care is provided in community settings for patients who have difficulty getting treatment in their "high street" dental practice and who require treatment on a referral basis, which is not available in a general dental care setting.

The four key services of the Directorate are: 

  • Monitoring the Dental Health of the Population  
  • Dental Health Promotion and Education
  • Dental Screening
  • Dental Care and Treatment

Dental Care and Treatment is delivered in a variety of settings and includes: 

  • Personal Dental Services
  • Specialised care on referral

Emergency Treatment

To access emergency dental care and / or advice please contact 0161 476 9651.

The provider for both the Out of Hours Emergency Dental Service and the Triage Service is Revive Dental Care.

When we are open

We provide services 365 days a year 9am - 9pm. Other clinics provide services during normal working hours.


From 1 September 2015 all clinical dental services have been relocated from Hartington Road to Old Swan Walk-in Centre.
