Liverpool Manual Handling Service

What We Do

Liverpool Manual Handling Service is a specialist team of Clinical staff (Nurses/Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist) that identify the practical difficulties and risks for people engaged in undertaking manual handling activities related to providing practical assistance to another person.

When caring for another person it is acknowledged that you are at a high risk of musculo-skeletal injury, often a back injury.

We undertake complex manual handling assessments and give advice and equipment to the staff of Social Services and providers of care in Liverpool as well as providing a service directly to carers in Liverpool when they are providing care to a family member, partner or friend.

We give advice on how the carer can remain safe whilst undertaking physical care of both adults and children with physical disabilities.

We undertake assessment for all residents of Liverpool and those registered to a Liverpool GP.
